Position Summary:

The Human Resources Manager will oversee all day-to-day Human Resource activities including: planning, developing, organizing, implementing, directing and evaluating the company's human resource function and performance including but not limited to benefits administration, recruitment/employment, compensation administration, on-boarding, project management, employee relations, policy implementation, ensure compliance with all federal and state legislation as it pertains to Human Resources management.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Administers various human resource plans and procedures for the organization; assists in the implementation of personnel policies and procedures;

Maintains employee information in payroll system and other internal systems by entering and updating employment and status-change data for new hires, terminations, changes, etc.

Lead Associate Relations efforts, including acting as a liaison for associate concerns as well as coordinating associate support/coverage.

Coordinate associate new hire on-boarding processes

Responsible for new hire on-boarding paperwork and process flow

First point of contact and resolution for payroll and benefits questions.

Maintain Human Resource records and compile reports as needed. Develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action.

Process external personnel information requests as needed.

Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

Completes special projects by clarifying project objectives; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions.

Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.

Protects an organization's value by keeping information strictly confidential.

Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

 

Talent Acquisition Responsibilities & Duties:

Responsible for recruiting activities to include: sourcing, resume reviewing, interviewing, present offers, and negotiating salary/rate for entry and mid-level roles within the organization and working in collaboration with the CFO for higher-level offers.

Source candidates using the Internet, Social Media, Employee Referrals, Networking

Utilize recruitment sourcing techniques on the web to uncover new or specific sources of talent (e.g. university recruiting, diversity candidates, community-based organizations)

Develop and implement creative approaches to locate passive and non-passive candidates

Phone screen and interview candidates for assigned positions

Work with and/or implement an Applicant Tracking System for pipeline management, sourcing, and job requisition management

Maintain relationships with all candidates for networking, a future possible presentation, referrals, or business contacts

Work closely with management and plant management to provide extraordinary customer service to provide timely updates and assistance on HR and TA issues

Meet with hiring managers to develop and build recruitment assessment to determine needs, timing, set expectations and strategies

Build and maintain a talent pipeline to allow the prompt reaction to internal customer needs

Serve as one of the main points of contact to new hires and assist in the on-boarding process

Manage the pre-employment process

 

Ideal Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (human resources focus preferred)

Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources preferably with experience in a manufacturing setting as an HR Generalist.

Minimum 2 years full life cycle recruiting – manufacturing industry preferred.

Ability to handle wide scope of HR situations within the framework of federal and state legislation.

Strong verbal and written communications skills to communicate with all levels of Associates.

Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems experience.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks as assigned with a high level of reliability.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Strong problem-solving skills and reasoning ability.

Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player.

Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).

Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of function.

PHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferred

Proficient in Employment Law and Regulations.
